Carrie Frank is a seasoned Child Nutrition and Farm to School expert with over 25 years of experience as a K–12 Food and Nutrition Director. Originally from St. Paul, MN, she trained as a chef and began her career in local restaurants before transitioning to healthcare and nutrition, earning her Certified Dietary Manager accreditation.

In 2008, Carrie launched the Farm to School program at Dover-Eyota Public Schools, a small rural district in Olmsted County. Through strong community partnerships with local farmers, she brought fresh, locally sourced produce, beef, turkey, and bison into school meals, enriching students’ nutrition while supporting area agriculture. Her initiatives included planting apple trees with high school Agriculture students—trees that continue to produce fruit for the school community today.

Carrie’s expertise has also influenced policy. In 2019, she testified before the Minnesota House Agriculture Committee in support of the Farm to School & Early Care bill (HF 811/SF 1346), helping secure grants that continue to support local schools.

After retiring from her director role, Carrie founded Carrie Frank Consulting Services, helping other school districts enhance child nutrition programs and develop their own Farm to School.
