Carsten Rachfahl (@hypervserver) started his IT career in 1988, working as a developer on porting X-Windows to an OS called OS/9. In 1991, he founded his own company in Germany and is self-employed since these days. Starting . When Microsoft finally created a “real” Hypervisor and brought that to the market, he was all in. The Blog features tutorials, articles, screencasts, video interviews and webinars focusing on the Microsoft Private/Hybrid Cloud. Carsten loves to share his knowledge and so he teaches his own “Hyper-V PowerKurs”, “Storage Spaces Direct PowerKurs” and "Azure Stack HCI PowerKurs" course. As co-founder of the German Hyper-V and Hybrid Cloud Community he regularly organizes events and has received the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award in the year between 2011 and 2024. Carsten is organizer of the Cloud & Datacenter Conference Germany (https://cdc-germany.de) and co-organizer of the Experts Live Germany and Windows Server Summit.

Carsten Rachfahl (@hypervserver) startete seine IT Kariere in 1988 als Entwickler mit der Portierung von X-Windows auf OS/9. In 1991 gründete er seine erste IT-Firma und ist seitdem selbständig. Mit Citrix Metaframe in 2001 beginnt seine Reise in den "Virtualisierung-Space", der ihn bis heute packt. Als Microsoft dann mit Hyper-V endlich einen "richtigen" Hypervisor auf den Markt brachte, wahr er sofort Feuer und Flamme. Auf seinem Blog http://www.hyper-v-server.de, in Videointerviews, Screencasts, der on-Prem Show und Webinaren teilt er sein Wissen mit der Community. Carsten ist Mitbegründer der deutschen Hyper-V und Hybrid Cloud Community und Organisator der Cloud and Datacenter Conference Germany und Mitorganisator der Experts Live Germany Konferenzen. Für sein Engagement hat Microsoft ihn seit 2011 insgesamt 13 Mal in der Kategorie Cloud & Datacenter Management und 5 Mal in der Kategorie Azure zum Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) ausgezeichnet.
