Power Apps Canvas Code Reviews

Whether you simply need to document your own Power Apps Canvas App, are taking over the development of one designed by someone else, or you are the administrator tasked with oversight of citizen developed apps, code reviews are a necessary part of the job.

Let's dive deep into Canvas Apps to discover the contents and meaningful information available to us within a simple msapp file.

We'll explore some powerful open-source tools like PAC CLI and PowerDocu, as well as some custom analysis techniques for extracting key insights, looking for areas to improve app performance, and ensuring the security of your organization's data.

By the time we're done, terms like YAML, JSON, RegEx, and XML will no longer look like alphabet soup, and you can feel confident in your abilities the next time you need to look over an unfamiliar Canvas App.

Letting the Chaos Cook: Tales of the Spicy Brain Tech Renaissance

What happens when neurodivergent minds meet agentic AI, automation, and a refusal to suffer through soul-crushing admin? You get Copilots born from vibes, bots that battle executive dysfunction, and automations strung together with hyperfocus and hope.

This panel brings together neurodivergent creators, thinkers, and technologists in the midst of a spicy brain tech renaissance—where automation isn’t just about productivity, but survival, accessibility, and joy. Through candid storytelling and lived experience, panelists will share how they’ve harnessed AI, Copilots, custom agents, and automations to offload boring stuff, reduce cognitive friction, and finally do the things that light their brains up.

Whether you’re ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, chronically overwhelmed, or know someone that is, this session invites you to embrace chaos as the feature it is—not a bug—and walk away with ideas (and maybe a bot or two) that could change the way you approach the mundane.

JSON: A Low-Code introduction for No-Coders

Users building solutions with the Power Platform that have no coding experience, or a limited understanding of code, are considered to be Low-Code, No-code developers. Although the Power Platform products offer drag-and-drop features that are perfectly suited for these users to quickly create basic solutions, eventually users encounter what may appear as a jumbled mess of text, numbers, and symbols.

Here is where we typically see No-Code development becoming Low-Code development, and when having a basic understanding of JSON, or JavaScript Object Notation, is extremely useful. Not only will it help to resolve errors, but users are then empowered to create more advanced solutions, thus extending the reach of their abilities within the Power Platform.

This session will cover the definition, as well as basic syntax and structure of JSON; formatting and supported data types; the role JSON plays in various applications with useable examples; tips, tricks, best practices, and additional resources for learning more.

After attending the session, attendees should have a basic understanding of JSON and its role in the Power Platform; be able to recognize and describe it in basic terms to others; and have the confidence to further explore JSON through the creation of more technical solutions using the Power Platform.
