Form a mob to improve your code
We've all been on software development teams that struggled with code quality, technical debt, and knowledge silos. I've seen teams successfully tackle these issues head on by using a technique called mob programming. I'll share my experiences from participating in mobs and coaching teams on mob programming. You will learn how a mob works and what tools and equipment are best for mobbing. We'll discuss how to mob with all of the team together, some members remote, or the entire team remote. Finally, we will form a mob so that you can see it in action. You will leave my session ready to get started improving your code quality, reducing technical debt, and eliminating knowledge silos.

In this session you will learn about a technique for developing software known as Mob Programming. Attendees will participate in a code kata exercise to learn how a mob works.

Would you like to improve the quality of your code? This workshop is for developers that would like to learn how to write code using the test driven development process. Attendees will create new code using the test driven development process (red, green, refactor) . Additionally, the audience will use mocking and dependency injection to test modifications to existing legacy code. A code Kata will be completed in Java with attendees participating in a mob programming session: audience members will rotate driving while the remaining audience members will navigate. No equipment is required to attend, however participants may follow along with their own laptops if desired:
