With a career spanning nearly five decades across corporate, research, and academia, Prof. S. Chandrasekhar stands as one of India’s most accomplished thought leaders in digital business, analytics, and technology-driven education. Currently Senior Professor of Digital Business & Analytics at JAGSoM Business School and Advisor & Professor at VijayBhoomi University, Prof. Chandrasekhar’s influence extends to academic committees of leading management institutes nationwide. His professional journey includes pivotal roles at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, ISRO, NRSA Hyderabad, IIM Lucknow, and as Director of Fore School of Management, where he shaped academic strategy and innovation.
Prof. Chandrasekhar’s research and teaching have made significant impact in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics. He holds a doctorate in Quantitative & Information Systems from the University of Georgia, a master’s in computer science from IIT Kanpur, and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. His work has resulted in over 60 publications in national and international journals, multiple patents-including recent advances in credit rating transitions and deep learning for financial analytics-and leadership of numerous master’s and doctoral research projects.
