Chanel, a seasoned Chemist and Mathematician turned Machine Learning Engineer, is passionate about enhancing user experiences with trained model technologies. In May 2020, Chanel founded the Mentor Me Collective to empower first-generation technologists with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their passions, achieve their dreams, and make a positive impact on society through mentorship, education, and community. Since then, Mentor Me Collective has grown to a global audience of over 30K members across four continents.

Through her leadership, she has facilitated over 400 first-generation individuals in securing six-figure tech careers, totaling over $30M in compensation. Known for her dynamic conference sessions, she has spoken at prestigious events and dedicated her expertise to uplifting various tech communities, aiming to amplify first-generation representation. Her mission is to cultivate community, develop first-generation talent, and increase awareness around careers in the tech industry.
