Linda Khachadurian is a Beirut-born medical editor, international educational nonprofit founder, sugar and chocolate artist, and host of The Charitable Confectioner on channel 9/Cambridge.

The inspiration for her entirely volunteer-run educational nonprofit – which operates in Haiti and Armenia via local, “charity du jour” partners -- came from a meeting she had in 2009 with a child slave (Restavek) in Haiti who told her that if he could have one wish it would be to receive an education so that he could become someone important someday. A few years later, she put together the grass roots group of volunteers and named it Charitable Confections, taking inspiration from the Mother Theresa quote, “Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls” to use her whimsical edible art to draw in partners, volunteers, and donors. The organization became incorporated and granted 501(c) (3) status in 2017.

In 2015, Linda launched her online business, Chipper Confections, which she refers to as “the business-minded sister” of Charitable Confections. The business partners with Pure Water for the World -- an organization Linda met while writing an article about safe water in Haiti for The Harvard Review of Latin America. Her sugar art and chocolate art has been sold at retailers such as UncommonGoods and displayed everywhere from local galleries to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in LA to the Marriott Marquis in NYC to the Sheraton Boston Hotel, and her edible art skills were also showcased on the Food Network show, Candy Land. Her science and visual arts background allow her to explore how they intersect with culinary arts.

In 2021, her live series, The Charitable Confectioner, which merges her passions for social causes and edible art, debuted on Cambridge Community Television channel 9.
