After a typically overwhelming experience in game development. I sought out ways to make developing software better. I was lucky to join a group containing people associated with the Chrysler C3 project and were on a similar path. They leveraged Extreme Programming and in working with them I found my niche. Since then I've applied philosophies from XP, Agile, Lean, and other methodologies to help teams develop better software for many domains including DNA matching, automotive, social science, publishing, and financial sector messaging platforms. I'm currently learning about how to shape a community to be more self-sufficient and self-sustaining.

In the 25 years since transitioning to Agile he has played the role of consultant, developer, and coach for a number of organizations and teams. He is currently working with Ford Labs building a high performing community and delivering value by validating assumptions and reducing risk via customer centered engagement and practices.

How to put the PMI and UXUI in the MOB

Have you ever struggled to include your non-developers on stories? Have you wanted to stop throwing stuff over the wall to your Project Manager or Designer? Have you wondered how to be more inclusive of the other roles?
We did, too.
Until we found Ensemble Programming! And included our PM! And our Designer! And soon the entire team was mobbing on EVERYTHING!
In this workshop you get to see a high performing mob/ensemble in action! We will demonstrate techniques to work on non-developer activities while still gaining the benefits of ensemble "programming". Plus you'll have a chance to jump in and get hands on experience!
