Author. Scholar. Mother. Christina Pacheco is an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She was born and raised in Fairmont, NC, where she currently resides. Christina previously served as the Project 3C Career Exploration Associate at UNC Pembroke. In her role at UNC Pembroke she creates opportunities to expose Native American K-12 students, within the Lumbee Tribal service area, to STEM related career paths, Native Americans in STEM, and more. She also served as the founder and campus advisor to WOMAN (Woman Organization of Minorities Achieving Now) of UNC Pembroke; whose mission is to empower, enrich, and encourage all minority women to be strong mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She currently serves as a Senior Program Manager at AWS within Developer Relations on the Community Engagement team.
