I studied geophysics and geoinformatics at TU Freiberg. During my master's I travelled across south america and realized I didn't want to work in physics. So I tried to find out what I really like and enjoy doing and figured that it is fun working with data, which is what geophysics and geoinformatics is at its core.
As you probably can remember, the Covid pandemic began and I started learning about data science and machine learning. I was completely hooked from the first minute and started doing this in my freetime. It started to become sort of a hobby and after 1,5 years I landed my first job as a ML Engineer. Since then in my job I am driven by my personal values and moral standards which means I want to apply AI ethically and responsibly.
