Ciaran Kelly is the CEO and founder of Go Balance Ltd, a UK-based REDD+ project developer responsible for the development and implementation of the Trocano Araretama Project in Borba, Amazonas, Brazil.

His work focuses on long-term forest conservation, nature-based climate solutions, geospatial monitoring and community-focused environmental programmes.

With more than a decade of experience in voluntary carbon markets, Ciaran advocates an evidence-led approach to REDD+ project development, combining environmental monitoring, risk-based carbon accounting and independent verification.

In October 2025, Ciaran participated as a panellist at the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain's Capital, Carbon and Conservation: Investing in Brazil for Net Zero Gains seminar, hosted by A&O Shearman in London.

His professional interests include the development of credible forest-carbon projects, environmental monitoring technology, carbon-market integrity and the role of community participation in long-term conservation.
