Dr. Claudio Gallicchio is Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pisa, Italy. His research interests are in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, with a specific focus on dynamical Neural Networks and Reservoir Computing. Claudio Gallicchio has been involved in several European funded research projects, in the areas of robotic ecologies, ambient intelligence, and human monitoring. Currently, he leads the AI work-package in the H2020 EU project TEACHING.
Claudio Gallicchio has co-authored over 70 research papers, and participated in over 25 conferences as a speaker. He is chair of the IEEE Task Force on Reservoir Computing, and member of the IEEE CIS Task Force on Deep Learning and of the IEEE CIS Data Mining and Big Data Analytics Technical Committee.
Claudio Gallicchio has been member of several program committees of conferences and workshops in the area of neural networks, and he has participated in the organization of several international conferences. He has organized several workshops and special sessions in major international conferences on Machine Learning and Neural Networks.
