Clifford is described as an Highly Active OpenStreetMap contributor. He is a member of the Pedestrian Working Group and the Foundations Data Working Group. Along with his interest in pedestrian mapping, he is working to help parents get their kids to walk, bike, and roll to school with the Safe Routes to School program. He help organize the 2016 State of the Map US in Seattle. His prior endeavors include glassblowing, managing an art center facility, and telecom management.
