Why is it that sometimes NOBODY can do a certain action in Power Bi? And, why then, are there other times when only SPECIIFC users can do SOME things? Or, conversely, why is it that EVERYBODY can do EVERYTHING with no controls or security at all in the Power BI tenant?
The Admin Portal is full of interesting settings that can add (or remove) security and make life easier (or harder) for some users. As of the writing of this session description, there are 85 separate options in the Admin Portal for Power BI. Some settings influence other settings and some are stand-alone. Either way, all of them affect the user experience.
This presentation will be an overview of the key settings. We can't get through every single setting during a single presentation, but we will cover the ones that most commonly cause issues (whether intended or not) for casual users and Power Users alike.
