Trauma Informed Care Skills to Use with Fathers

Ok, everyone is talking about trauma-informed care but what the heck can I do to be more trauma-informed with the fathers I serve? If you find yourself asking this question, then this session is for you! As an attendee, you will participate in a foundational activity for helping men and dads explore the Man Rules – the rules and assumptions that young boys and men are taught about masculinity. You will learn the importance of enacting a TIC approach to any activities or exercises you facilitate with the fathers with whom you work to help promote a sense of safety and increase engagement. You will leave the session having had an opportunity to practice and learn exercises from the first trauma-informed curriculum for fathers, Amazing Dads!
