Aligning cookbook development with your CI testing
This talk focuses on cookbook development inside containers using VS Code. We'll also cover the high level ideas surrounding CI/CD implementation used in SAP's DevOps CoE.
Though not required, this talk will have some optional follow along parts. If you'd like to participate, have VS Code installed with the remote-containers extension, docker or podman and the development container.
Deep Dive: Chef extensibility
In this session we'll talk about extending chef with ohai and custom resources. We'll also cover best practices, logging from inside these extensions, and troubleshooting.
I'll be going through live code, so it would be a good idea to bring your laptop, and have:
