Dan Iannotti is a veteran in the cybersecurity realm, with a specialized focus on digital forensics. With over thirteen years of experience, Dan has honed his skills in digital investigations, adept at navigating the complexities of cases involving damaged or destroyed devices. His proficiency extends across a spectrum of digital mediums, from computers and servers to mobile devices, where he has consistently demonstrated his ability to work alongside investigators to retrieve critical data.

Dan’s journey in DFIR began with a National Science Foundation scholarship and an internship at the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit. Since then, he has progressed through various roles within both the private and public sectors, including positions with government contractors, DHS, cybersecurity and digital forensic tech companies, and the FBI. Dan’s passion for education led him to teach digital forensics and cybersecurity.

Leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience in digital forensics, Dan transitioned into the realm of Incident Response, where he applied his expertise to address and mitigate complex cybersecurity threats. Now, Dan has founded his own digital forensics business, where he continues to make significant contributions to the field by helping organizations navigate the intricacies of cyber investigations and safeguard their digital assets.
