Daniyar Zhanbekov pursued higher education at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, known for its rigorous engineering programs. Here, he distinguished himself by receiving the All-USA Academic Team award, which honors collegiate students who excel academically while significantly contributing to their communities. His educational journey set a solid foundation for his burgeoning career.

After college, Daniyar entered the corporate world at Bain & Company, a leading global management consulting firm, where he developed essential business strategy and operations skills. His drive and ambition led him to Wall Street, where he secured a position at Lehman Brothers. In their Technology Media and Telecom group, he worked on significant investment projects in New York and London, honing his expertise in the financial sector.

In 2007, Daniyar returned to Kazakhstan, joining Renaissance Capital, where he quickly advanced due to his proficiency in managing complex deals and strategic initiatives. He later moved into private equity, taking on the role of Director of Investments at a renowned firm, where he managed significant investments in telecoms and retail. He also founded the Kazakhstan Hong Development Fund, a $400 million investment fund collaborating with top Hong Kong investors and the Kazakh government.
