Dara Rose is the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Programs at Horizons National. Dara focuses on organization- and network-wide wide alignment, equity and impact and co-leads affiliate services. Before joining Horizons National, she managed afterschool, summer learning, and community-school partnership investments for over a decade at The Wallace Foundation. Dara also spent over 15 years as a youth worker, program coordinator, and manager at several non-profits, including the Partnership for Afterschool Education and Citizens Committee for NYC. She serves on the board of the National After School Association and is an advisor to Powered by Youth, an initiative of Every Hour Counts. Dara earned an M.A. in Public Administration at New York University’s Wagner School and a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American / Caribbean Studies at SUNY Binghamton. Dara has been trained by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and is a certified Program Quality Assessor by the Weikart Center.
