Darcy Bergen’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Clear Solutions for Seniors, LLC, in 2003. Building on this foundation, he later founded Bergen Financial, a firm dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of retirement planning. Bergen Financial, headquartered in Peoria, Arizona, has expanded its reach with offices in Tucson, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Spokane, Washington. He leads a team of eight advisors and six additional staff members, all committed to delivering personalized financial solutions.
In 2008, his parents, who were engaged in missionary work in Kenya, faced a life-threatening attack by seven locals. Despite the severity of the situation, they survived, which profoundly impacted him. In response, he founded Bergens Mission in 2014, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting orphanages across Kenya and contributing to the region's overall development. His mission is to provide education and resources to Kenyan children, helping to prevent them from falling into cycles of violence and instead fostering a brighter, more hopeful future.
He is passionate about educating others on financial planning, believing that informed clients make better decisions. To this end, he teaches retirement planning classes at local colleges, where he shares his extensive knowledge with individuals seeking to secure their financial futures. He also co-hosted the popular radio show Safe Money and Income with his wife, Heather, for four years. The show focused on helping listeners understand critical aspects of retirement planning, social security, and risk management. He is currently working on a book that covers these topics in greater detail, aiming to provide readers with practical advice on navigating retirement.
While his primary focus is on retirement planning, Darcy also emphasizes the importance of financial education for the younger generation. He encourages parents to start teaching their children about money management at an early age. He believes that even young children can learn the basics of earning, saving, and spending, which sets the foundation for financial responsibility later in life. As children grow, he advocates for introducing more complex financial concepts such as credit, debt, and budgeting, equipping them with the knowledge they need to make sound financial decisions as adults.
