Darren is the Assistant Director of Digital Accessibility for the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC). While at UCO, Darren has worked with web content and digital accessibility since 2005, presenting technology concepts in a manner that is approachable and easy to understand. By working with students, staff, and faculty Darren's aim is to empower teams to develop equitable and accessible digital information for learning and beyond. He is a graduate of UCO and has a background in broadcasting, marketing and technology training.

In this presentation, learn how the creation of a Digital Accessibility suite of micro-credentials have been instrumental in making and impact and creating lasting change for students, staff and faculty. By offering professional development with digital badges, the University of Central Oklahoma has created a Digital Accessibility Coalition who, by way of progressing through three micro-credentials, are implementing projects and initiatives that are creating a more inclusive digital environment for everyone, not just those with disabilities.
