Dave is an integrative lawyer, mediator, and coach based in Durango, Colorado, where he has lived and worked for over a decade with his wife and two sons.

During his first nine years as an attorney, Dave represented individuals and businesses in civil litigation, employment disputes, and business planning. After working on hundreds of cases in private negotiations and in courts and agencies, he began to see a consistent pattern: legal conflict often escalates not because of bad people, but because of breakdowns in communication, misaligned expectations, and agreements built around fear rather than clarity.

In 2023, Dave began shifting his practice toward early conflict resolution and values-based legal strategy. In 2024, he and his partner renamed their firm Aspen Grove Integrative Law to reflect a commitment to helping clients resolve disputes peacefully and design agreements that align with mission and integrity.

Today, Dave works with founders, leaders, and growing companies to prevent escalation, strengthen alignment, and approach contracts and workplace conflict consciously — without losing sight of the values that inspired their work in the first place.

When he’s not working, Dave can be found fly fishing, backpacking, or traveling with his family in their 1997 Eurovan — pursuits that remind him that clarity, patience, and steady leadership matter when navigating uncertain terrain.
