David S. Platt teaches User Experience Engineering at Harvard University Extension School and at companies all over the world. He's written 13 books, most recently the blockbuster Fixing Tech : Make It Just Work (Wiley, 2026). His other UX books include The Joy of UX (Addison-Wesley, 2016) and Why Software Sucks (Addison-Wesley, 2006). Microsoft named him a Software Legend in 2002.
