David M. Richards is a graduate of Texas Tech University and the University of Texas School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1989. He is managing partner in the Austin law firm RICHARDS LINDSAY & MARTÍN, L.L.P. The firm focuses entirely on the defense of school districts and special education cooperatives with respect to §504 and special education.

Dave is General Counsel for the Council of Educators for Students with Disabilities (CESD), and for over thirty years, a frequent speaker on §504 and IDEA at schools and conferences large and small throughout the country.
