From sitting behind an operations desk at Morgan Stanley during the 2008 financial crisis to caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, I've seen enough to know it's time to change the way we look at community and society building. It's time for sustainable, equitable development that looks beyond today's short-sighted measures of success and focuses on a longer view where people thrive rather than merely survive.
