Desi Ramananda Kishore Katuri is an accomplished Application Programmer and Technical Lead with over 18 years of experience delivering large-scale ERP transformation projects across Finance and Human Capital Management (HCM) using PeopleSoft. He currently serves as Senior Application Programmer IV at the University of California, Berkeley, within the Berkeley Financial Systems team, where he spearheads the implementation of the Travel & Expenses module and drives enhancements to streamline operations while ensuring compliance with university policy.
Prior to UC Berkeley, Desi spent over a decade at Infosys Ltd., progressing from Software Engineer to Technology Lead, and led major PeopleSoft engagements for clients including Charles Schwab, Dick's Sporting Goods, CSX, Lowe's, Delhaize, Limited Brands, LexisNexis, and Nationwide. His expertise spans Procure to Pay, Acquire to Retire, and Record to Report business processes, along with ERP architecture, data conversion, systems integration, and process automation.
Desi holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from JNT University, India, and has furthered his skills with certifications in Python programming and machine learning from UC Berkeley Extension, along with PeopleSoft Test Framework specialization.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IETE and IAEME, and a Full Member of Sigma Xi. Desi actively contributes to the technical community as a judge and peer reviewer for several hackathons and academic conferences and has received multiple industry awards recognizing his leadership and innovation in ERP-driven financial services.
