Step towards Net-Zero
I’m excited to bring a session that embodies the very spirit of “Reboot: Living & Working in Real Life” for DevOpsDays Atlanta 2026. Over the past nine years, I’ve tackled some of the most complex challenges in sustainable building technology—from reimagining Disney’s headquarters with AI-powered lighting controls to delivering net-zero geothermal systems at a city scale. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that the true reboot isn’t just technical—it’s human: it’s about giving people environments that continuously adapt, improve, and support how we live and work every day.
My session will offer a front-row look at how DevOps principles—collaboration, iteration, and automation—can supercharge the sustainable transformation of our built environment. Attendees will see how AI, combined with human insight, is making possible buildings and cities that aren’t just energy efficient but also more comfortable, healthy, and responsive to human needs. I’ll share success stories and behind-the-scenes lessons from high-impact projects, distilling what actually works when bringing together technology teams, facility managers, and everyday users.
This talk stands out because it’s grounded in both research and real-world impact. I merge a decade of engineering fieldwork with thought leadership in net-zero strategies, a peer reviewer’s critical eye, and a passion for mentoring the next generation. Not only will participants learn how to embed DevOps mindsets into sustainability goals—they’ll leave inspired to reboot their own organizations for a smarter, greener, and more human-centered future.
