I've spent the last 20 years analyzing data. I started in pharmaceutical research as a biostatistician, moved into data science working on sensitivity analysis and AI-powered forecasting systems, then managed a data science team delivering analytics across mobility, energy, e-commerce, and finance.

Now as a freelance Power BI analyst, I specialize in dashboards that executives actually use. I'm a judge for the Power BI DataViz World Championships and speak about the gap between technically correct reports and ones people open twice. My talks focus on matching dashboard architecture to how different roles work with data - from C-level quick status checks to analyst deep dives.

I speak both languages: numbers and business decisions. I live in Germany and work with clients across Europe and the US.

Building dashboards people open daily (and actually love to use)

Your dashboard is professional and data-rich. Now make it indispensable.

The key: matching design to how people actually work with data. C-Level needs instant status answers. Department heads need rapid investigation paths. Analysts need exploration depth. Each requires a different dashboard architecture to be truly effective.

This 3-hour session shows how to design reports people open daily. Through real-world examples, you'll master the distinction between persuasion dashboards (guide users through ONE insight) and monitoring dashboards (enable users to find THEIR answers quickly). You'll learn when narrative structure enhances understanding and when direct access patterns work better. You'll build a pattern library by capturing what makes designs effective, not just visually appealing.

Leave with a practical framework: align user type with purpose, purpose with structure, structure with proven patterns. Design your next dashboard with clarity and confidence.

Beyond the blank page: Building your Power BI inspiration repository

This session is about transforming how Power BI developers approach report design. After more than 6 years of creating analytical reports, I've discovered that exceptional developers don't reinvent the wheel - they systematically build from insights from their own builds, colleagues' successes, and community challenges and competitions.
The session delivers both strategic mindset and technical implementation. We'll explore how to break the trap of stuffing everything onto one page that leads from requirements directly to overcomplicated or uninspiring report solutions. Then we'll dive into specific Power BI techniques that balance creativity with technical excellence and proper design principles. Developers will learn how to build their own inspiration repository as a learning system for continuous creative growth.

Visualizing results from ML models in Power BI

The talk explores how the results of machine learning models can be effectively visualized in Power BI. It will combine Power BI design and ML knowledge and present techniques and best practices for user centered representation. We will also examine the standard reports for ML models in Data Flows and their pros and cons.
