Dr. Chao Mbogo graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Oxford. Chao has received various recognitions such as being named as one of the 2017 Quartz Africa Innovators, a 2017 Techwomen Fellow, and was recently named as one of the 2018 Faces of Science in Kenya. She is the Program Lead for KamiLimu, a structured mentorship program for Computer Science students. Dr. Chao is currently the Dean of the School of Science and Technology at Kenya Methodist University, where she is also a Researcher and a Lecturer of Computer Science.
