Dr. Lukas (born 1981) studied economics at Technische Universität Dresden, where he also obtained his PhD in 2013 with a focus on health and insurance economics. Following positions as a Policy Officer at the Saxon State Chancellery in the fields of energy policy and digitalisation, as well as at the Saxon State Ministry of Finance covering state-owned enterprises, federal-state financial relations, Bundesrat affairs and European affairs, he joined the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in 2025 as a Policy Officer in the Directorate-General for Industrial Policy, Division Microelectronics.
