As the proud mother of two sons with autism and von Willebrand disease, she brings a deeply personal commitment to creating safer, more informed, and compassionate communities through education, advocacy, and connection. She is the Founder and President of Sense of Connection, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening relationships between first responders and the autism community. Dr. Patton is also the owner of Patton Advocacy & Consulting LLC, where she provides training and consulting on disability inclusion across educational, workforce, and emergency response settings.
