Dr. Jude Osimobi (PMP) is an Earth and Environmental Scientist with over a decade of industry experience. Jude holds a BSc. in Physics from Delta State University Abraka, an MSc in Petroleum Geophysics from Imperial College London, a second MSc in Environmental/Radiation Physics and a PhD in Environmental/Radiation Physics both from University of Port Harcourt. He's also a certified Project Management Professional. Jude has delivered several high quality seismic Acquired & Processed datasets, carried out Reservoir Geophysics analysis and Seismic Interpretation for several fields in onshore, shallow water and deep-water terrains resulting in increased in-place volumes, aided well planning/placement, achieved process safety and provided baseline for business growth. Jude is passionate about giving back to the society through coaching and mentoring with strong learner’s mindset and he’s a visiting lecturer at the Center of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, University of Benin and the past Technical Information Chair for SPE Port Harcourt Section 103. He is currently the Capability/Performance advisor for Development and Subsurface function at Shell Nigeria, doubling as the Business Advisor to the GM Development & Subsurface and the function's leadership team. In this capacity, Dr. Jude is responsible for the career growth and competence building of over 300 staff ensuring that the necessary competencies and the right technical and business know-how is maintained across the teams whilst keeping successions planning intact Dr. Osimobi is an astute researcher with several technical publications to his name, and he won the Best Technical Paper Geophysics Award at the 2022 NAPE Conference. In 2023, Dr. Jude was awarded the global prestigious SPE African Region Award for formation evaluation. For extra curriculum activities, Captain J as fondly called by friends likes to Moderate events (MC), play chess, watch, and play football, family time and finds peace in his Catholic faith. Jude also finds pleasure in travelling as a form of education, haven travelled to over 20 countries across all the continents of the World except Australia. He is married to a damsel, an Achala_Ugo, Engr. Margaret-Mary and they are blessed with five kids, two of which are twins.
