From Technology Users to Tomorrow’s Innovators: Innovation in Technology and STEAM Curriculum
This session presents a practical K–12 curriculum design model that moves students beyond using technology toward becoming innovators, creators, and problem-solvers. It shares how an Innovation in Technology and STEAM curriculum can be structured progressively across grade levels, combining digital literacy, AI literacy, coding, robotics, 3D design, design thinking, systems thinking, and entrepreneurship.
Instead of teaching isolated tools, the session reframes technology education as a long-term innovation journey. Learners begin with curiosity, safe digital habits, and simple creative activities, then gradually advance toward programming, physical computing, machine learning, engineering design, ethical AI use, and real-world problem solving.
Participants will explore key curriculum design principles, age-appropriate progression, hands-on project examples, and implementation lessons that can help schools build future-ready learners. The session offers a transferable framework for educators and school leaders who want students not only to consume technology, but to design with it, think through it, and use it creatively to shape tomorrow.
