Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose journey started on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho. Early in life, he worked in farming, wildfire suppression, and construction, which provided practical skills and shaped his approach to problem-solving. He later earned degrees in International Studies and Spanish, followed by completing the prerequisites for medical school and laboratory sciences in Boise. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, he completed his residency training in emergency medicine in Fresno. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.
He holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Idaho and gained additional experience at Boise State University, working as a lab instructor and manager. He spent three years conducting biomedical research focused on systems biology and human health. These roles helped develop his ability to observe and think critically, both in research and clinical settings.
Before his medical training, he worked as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service and gained hands-on skills in construction, including carpentry and electrical work. His time in restaurants taught him how to manage customer needs and work effectively under pressure, skills that have carried over into his medical career.
In 2012, he entered the University of Nevada School of Medicine and graduated in 2016. During his residency at UCSF-Fresno, he trained in a fast-paced emergency department, learning airway management, resuscitation, line placement, and bedside ultrasound. He treated a wide range of conditions, from trauma and sepsis to cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory failure, and psychiatric emergencies.
Following his residency, he worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, where he handled a diverse range of emergency cases. He joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group in 2020 and became Vice Chair in 2024, overseeing scheduling, operations, staff support, and quality measures while continuing to work clinical shifts. He also remains involved at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno through moonlighting shifts.
Fluent in Spanish and board-certified, he maintains his California medical license and all required credentials. Dr. Seth Eidemiller volunteers in his community, enjoys cycling, home improvement projects, and cooking, and continues to grow as a physician. Dr. Seth is dedicated to serving his patients and community through careful, consistent care.
