Dr. Suzie Bergman is President-Elect of the American Association of Women Dentists. She is a Professor at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bergman is a Fellow of the TMJ Foundation, a global consortium and online fellowship program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, where she serves as Selection Chair, Advisor and Honorary Program Faculty. She served as a Visiting Research Scholar at Oregon Health Science University in the Department of Neurological Surgery as a co-investigator in research surrounding the differential diagnosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) and Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs). Dr. Bergman serves as a Subject Matter Expert and Consultant for Academic Health Associates, an Execudent Company. She is the Dental Education and Partnerships Lead for Immersify Education, an EdTech platform delivering education to dental and nursing schools through immersive experiences and Augmented Reality. Dr. Bergman serves as a clinical expert for TMD IMPACT, a national, NIDCR-funded consortium designed to accelerate research, improve diagnosis, and develop evidence-based treatment for TMDs. She is a Co-Chair for the TMJ Association’s Patient-Led Roundtable, a collaborative initiative led by the TMJA in partnership with the FDA and the Medical Device Epidemiology Network (MDEpiNet). She is a thought leader in the interprofessional education space with a focus on medical, dental, and behavioral health integration, and speaks internationally on this topic. Dr. Bergman received her DDS degree from West Virginia University and holds advanced certificates in Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain.
