PowerBI is bad ass and here's why...

I've lived in the reporting and dashboard space for a long time. I remember converting 1600 reports over from Crystal Reports to the first release of SSRS. Yes! It's been that long. That’s why I can say that PowerBI, although not perfect, is absolutely one of the best tools Microsoft has released in years. I’ll talk about stuff and then we’ll walk through building out a dashboard and reporting solution.

Knowledge Management + Microsoft 365 = Bad Ass

Knowledge management is the practice of organizing and bringing information together as a whole. It involves a concerted effort and commitment by an organization to promote a single source and to deliver that information to users in a relevant and efficient manner. It is not a technology, software application or platform. We will explore the questions centered around Microsoft 365 of "Can it be used?", "Should it be used? "How can be it used?", and "What should I consider?".

Let's Netflix Your Content

The problem is real...6 Clicks to Nowhere and it is at the heart of the number one problem in SharePoint...I can't find what I need. We can avoid this with a few minor changes in how we organize content and make it easier for other users to find what they need.

Align your security requirements to Microsoft 365 services

Security is essential. Companies and organizations have been working tirelessly to keep their information safe and secure. In this session we will align security and compliance policies with Microsoft 365 apps and services.

3 Use Cases for Security and Compliance

There's nothing sexy about security and compliance, but it's necessary and 365 is more complex than most would imagine. We will cover 3 unique use cases traversing security and compliance from solution architecture to protecting your data from negligent behavior in 365.

Architecting an end to end data driven solution in 365

Business problems that need data driven solutions don't all require massive investments in infrastructure (native or cloud). We will discover the power of solution architecture and Microsoft 365 apps to solve everyday business problems.

Recover from accidental or intentional data loss for Microsoft 365

In addition to the most pressing use case of Ransomware recovery, we will discuss other uses cases of data loss within Microsoft 365 and what you have available through the platform when recovering your data. We will also look at Druva’s comprehensive backup and protection for Microsoft 365 and how it will support your ability to be resilient with any of these use cases. Druva protects your Microsoft OneDrive, Exchange Online (Recoverable items, User, Online Archive and Shared mailboxes), SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Groups data.

What should you know before you write that first line of code for Microsoft 365

You're getting ready for a new project for 365. You're a software developer / engineer and your go to is a custom application. You know the APIs, you know how to write code. You're ready to go. You may even have another project similar so you could just copy that and change a few things around.

Do you know what the security posture is of the organization? Do you understand the roles that will be using your solution? Do you know what the organization has planned for 365?

The application you create is only one part of what will make it successful. We will discuss a series of topics that can help the successful rollout and adoption of your next custom or customized solution for Microsoft 365.

How resilient can you be if your data has only 1 point in time...now?

To be resilient in the face of accidental, negligent or malicious data loss requires 1 thing...the ability to recover your data.

Maybe you don't believe in protecting your data in Microsoft's cloud. Maybe you have no objection, but just don't understand where the gaps are.

Our discussion will focus on the data loss gaps in Microsoft 365. We will also review a checklist of features/functionality you should look for when finding a data resiliency vendor to support requirements for security, compliance, risk management, and information technology policies.

You have limited to no options with data recovery if your system of record is deleted or corrupted/encrypted.

How data visualization drives adoption for your knowledge management program

So you have or want to build a knowledge management program for your organization. Oftentimes, reporting is last on the list of features to consider. Reporting, dashboards, data visualization should be at the forefront of any km program. With it you can not only drive adoption but it can be supporting facts to the support you may need to grow your team or gain approval for upgrading your licensing.

Mine data in "Document Repository" solutions in SharePoint

For years, an even still, most people assume SharePoint to be a document repository or where Teams saves files. In all reality, solutions created around the process of a document in SharePoint provide organizations the ability to not only house the information, but also elevate that process via data visualization.

In this session we will cover:
Managing the metadata of a library
Extending the data collected
Visualizing that data to improve the process
Considerations for "archival"
