Breaking In: A Social Engineer and a CISO on Hacking the Hiring Process

This talk and its speakers explore the cybersecurity job-hunting process from two unique perspectives: a social engineer navigating the hiring labyrinth and a CISO who has hired (and passed on) numerous candidates. Together, they reveal the secrets to standing out in competitive cybersecurity job markets, on both sides of the equation. Learn how to position yourself as the ideal candidate, hire great candidates as a CISO, and understand what CISOs look for when building their teams.

Tactical Communication Skills

Tactical Communication Skills is an immersive course tailored for students with a solid foundation in social engineering theory, tools, and techniques, aiming to elevate their proficiency and confidence in conducting successful social engineering assessments. Through hands-on experience, participants will learn to conduct thorough reconnaissance, execute targeted social engineering campaigns, and refine their techniques in various settings including 1-on-1 interactions, small group scenarios, and large group engagements. The course also offers a comprehensive crash course in basic communication, social skills, and public speaking, providing a structured and supportive environment for individuals to break out of their shell, enhance their social engineering capabilities, and effectively communicate their ideas. Attendees can expect a fully interactive experience, requiring active participation and engagement throughout the course. While completion of Social Engineering Fundamentals and Social Engineering Tools & Labs is highly recommended, it is not required.
