I'm Ellen, a software developer into all things related to front-end web development and UX. Originally from Australia, I now work for BT in Belfast working on the customer experience and front-end of the BT Sport apps. I've also worked for Code First: Girls as a web development instructor/demonstrator.

I'm from a totally non-technical background, having studied political science and history at the University of St Andrews and the University of Glasgow. My Masters degree led me down a path to coding and data visualisation, and I haven't looked back since. My non-technical background has driven me to contribute in any way I can to making code more accessible to learn, particularly for women who don't see themselves as 'technical' enough to work in the industry.
