Alefishat received her Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham-United Kingdom. Before joining the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at Khalifa University in 2019, she worked as the Assistant Dean for Hospital Affairs and PharmD Program Director at the University of Jordan. Alefishat is a founding faculty at CMHS, where she serves as the Assistant Dean for Medical Education; she has been awarded the Khalifa University Faculty Teaching Excellence Award 2021, Faculty Service Excellence Award 2022, and the CMHS Excellence in Research Award. Dr. Alefishat is an active researcher; she serves as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Biotechnology. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals; she also is an Associate Editor of BMC Health Services Research and a Review Editor on the Editorial Board of Integrative Physiology-Frontiers in Physiology.
