I'm Emma, a UX designer at Tyk - an API and Service Management Platform.

I initially started out my journey as a graphic designer but fell in love with digital and began to pursue UI design (even picking up a bit of HTML, CSS and Swift!). I knew I wanted to make the leap into UX after the frustration of being in an environment where the looks of a website trumped the usability.

In Nov 2019 I moved to Belfast from New Zealand and initially worked as a UX designer at a tech start-up in the city centre. I then joined Tyk and have been working remotely for them for the last six months.
