Emma Mckenzie is a Software Engineer within the Architecture, Cloud & Engineering Organisation at JP Morgan where she works on enabling public cloud capabilities for development teams. Recently, she has worked on pipelines to facilitate teams moving data from on-prem to AWS as well as moving data within AWS. She worked on enabling the Google Cloud Platform(GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) which allowed the first development teams to begin to use GCP. Previously, she worked on the AWS platforms team within JP Morgan and holds the AWS Cloud Practitioner qualification.
Emma completed internships at JP Morgan where worked on researching and developing a prototype for a messaging bus system on the private cloud. She also interned at FarmFlo where she worked as part of a small team to test and develop a mobile application to help farmers manage their documentation.
Emma holds a first-class MSci in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow. While at university she was a founding member of Glasgow University Society for Women in Technology (GUSWITCH) and remains passionate about diversity in technology. In her free time, she enjoys running and recently finished her first half-marathon!
