Dr. Ernst-Georg Schmid, brings over 25 years of experience with PostgreSQL as a featured speaker at the upcoming
POSETTE 2024 conference. Dr. Schmid's significant contributions include his role as the former developer and maintainer
of pgchem::tigress (retired), an essential chemoinformatics extension for PostgreSQL.
Notably, Dr. Schmid co-invented the groundbreaking Bayer SmartLabel and plays a pivotal role in designing the backend database on PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora for this innovative asset tracking solution.
He currently explores the chemoinformatics capabilities of the rdkit extension, and privately works on TRAKTOR, an ongoing experiment in logical multimaster replication using PostgreSQL on-board resources only.
