Errol Schmidt helps people make better technology decisions and turn them into working systems. Based in Melbourne, he brings more than 30 years of experience across software engineering, commercial roles and technology leadership, combining a builder’s perspective with a practical understanding of business.

Through eSquareNews, Errol works on technology strategy, fractional CTO leadership, software delivery and AI integration. He also hosts Technology for Humans, exploring how technology actually gets used through conversations with CTOs, founders and builders.

His speaking and interview topics include practical AI adoption; AI agents and workflow automation; the decisions people should retain when working with AI; the benefits and pitfalls of AI-assisted software development; and choosing, building and delivering technology that serves real business needs. His approach is straightforward: clear language, useful questions and lessons grounded in doing the work.

Errol welcomes enquiries for podcast guest appearances, live talks, panels, interviews and webinars, including remote conversations and in-person opportunities by arrangement.
