Originally Espen is a solar energy physiscist working with solar cell production and making ingots of smelted silicon. With the increased competition from abroad producers it was difficult to keep producing in Norway and factories shut down due to bankrupsy twice.
With highly attractive SQL knowledge and experience collecting and analysing data, it was easy for Espen to transform into a data engineering role. And the puclic sector has plenty of interesting data to explore!
In his free time Espen loves to go fishing and spend time in the nature with his family.
