Take Action: Go fast with GitHub

As you continue on your cloud journey, you have likely started thinking about how Azure fits into your software delivery process. Being able to move quickly from idea to production is a key part of delivering value to your users early and often. Introducing new technologies could add complexity to that and cause you to slow down.
This session will show you how to quickly deploy a an application to Azure by using GitHub Actions and leveraging the GitHub platform to infuse your software development process with AI-powered tools.

GitHub Actions gives you the flexibility to build an automated software development lifecycle workflow. By adopting GitHub's platform to guide your delivery, through PRs, Copilot, GHAS, and Actions, you can move quickly and safely to the cloud.

By the end of this session, you'll be able to:

Define a CI/CD process using GitHub Actions
Create a deployment pipeline by using GitHub Actions and Azure
Deploy a cloud-native application to Azure by using GitHub Actions
Learn about Pull Requests and Copilot integration
Learn about GitHub Advanced Security

Zero to Cloud Apps with GitHub Copilot

GitHub Copilot promises to improve Developer Productivity and Developer Happiness. So you went out and got a license and now what? How do you get started and get the most out of Copilot? Do I use Chat with prompts? Or do I use the autocomplete functionality?
We are going to go from a blank folder through building an application that will be deployed to Azure leveraging Copilot. From scaffolding, to building out functionality, unit tests, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform - we'll get you from just an idea to having an application deployed to Azure in a short time.
Along the way, you will learn about prompt engineering, what is really happening behind the scenes when you use GitHub Copilot, and how to truly leverage the power of AI as part of our software development journey.
