Eth-Noh-Tec celebrates over 40 years of performing storytelling theater throughout the United States and abroad.  Their artistry involves the research, writing and performing of myths, folk tales and contemporary Asian and Asian American themes. Blending a unique style of movement theater and storytelling they have performed to over a million people throughout the United States and internationally in schools, festivals, and theaters.

Using this form, they have engaged their community to explore the realms between ancient metaphor, modern message, and "hands on" activism. Projects such as "Green Grows the Story" (environmental education for 4th grade students); "ImmiGratitude" (narrative and art making on the theme immigrant experiences); "First Light Project" (educating audiences about nuclear power and depleted plutonium weaponry); and their current endeavor "Education Project Red Altar" (bringing the story of Early California Pioneering Chinese into the schools)

Founded in 1982 by Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec has performed at venues including at the Smithsonian,  Kennedy Center, National Storytelling Festival, and at both President Clinton’s and President Obama’s Inaugural Celebration.  Their past accolades include leading 9 storytelling cultural delegations to India, Korea, Singapore, and China.   Eth-Noh-Tec has been the recipient of National Storytelling Networks Oracle Award, Circle of Excellence and has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, San Francisco Grants for the Arts, San Francisco Arts Commission, Zellerbach Family Fund, Walter & Elise Haas Fund, and William and Flora Hewlett Foundation among others.
