Kotlin script and writing command line utilities
Occasionally, you get the need to automate things in your project. To check reports, filter or group information, fetch localisation, etc. Personally, it is always painful to browse StackOverflow since I need to become more fluent in bash.
However, I'm fluent in Kotlin, and there are solutions to write command utilities or scripts in Kotlin now.
I will show a simple Kotlin script and additional libraries Clikt and KotlinX CLI that heavily lifts a lot of basics for you.
Path to the freelance
I'm 41. After working long carrier as internal employee I switched to the freelance.
In this talk I want to share motivation to start freelance. You will hear about plusses and minuses working as a freelancer. And as conclusion if it is a dead end for the software developer carrier?
This is my carrier path sharing and thoughts that you might find similar or/and inspiring.
