Data governance and master data management practitioner with 8+ years of experience across global organizations including adidas, Daikin and Aliaxis. I've worked across product and customer data domains, designing governance frameworks and operating models, improving data quality, and driving adoption through clear ownership and accountability. My expertise includes data governance, master data management, process optimization, and organizational change. I enjoy translating governance concepts into practical approaches that people can adopt and sustain.

Inside a Data Quality Dashboard That Actually Works

Poor data quality doesn’t just frustrate data teams – it slows processes, creates rework, erodes trust and ultimately costs the business time and money. Many organizations try to solve this with dashboards, yet they often end up as diagnostic tools with little impact on day-to-day work.
In this session I’ll take you inside the data quality dashboard we built in Power BI at Daikin Europe that actually drives improvement. We’ll break down how we highlighted what truly matters, made prioritization effortless, and supported cleanup with clear context, ownership and accountability.
You’ll see the design decisions, scoring logic and user experience patterns that encouraged teams to take action, not just observe metrics. I’ll also share the lessons we learned the hard way – working around data model limitations, aligning stakeholders and demonstrating business value.
By the end you’ll understand how a well-designed dashboard can accelerate data quality improvement across the organization and become a true driver of change, not just another report.

Data Governance Is a Team Sport: How We Built a Data Community

Many organizations launch data governance programs only to watch them stall. Policies get written, tools get implemented, but data quality issues persist and stakeholders remain disengaged. The core challenge isn’t the framework itself, it’s getting people across the business to care and take ownership.
In this session I’ll share how we tackled that challenge at Daikin Europe by building an active data community across domains and dozens of countries. You’ll learn how our federated approach combines centralized principles with local execution, and why that model helped non-data professionals step into meaningful stewardship roles.
We’ll look at the roles that make a community work, the touchpoints and rituals that keep engagement high, and the skills needed to sustain momentum. I’ll also share the cultural and organizational hurdles we faced, and how we overcame them.
If you want your governance efforts to move beyond documents and dashboards, this session will show you how to turn passive stakeholders into committed data allies and build a community that lasts.

Not All Data Deserves to Live Forever

Many organizations talk about cleaner, more reliable data, but continue storing everything “just in case”. The result is bloated systems, slow performance, rising costs and users drowning in irrelevant information. Letting go of data feels risky, yet holding onto it often does more harm than good.
In this session I’ll share how we built a practical, business-driven archiving approach at Daikin Europe that treats data like an asset, not a liability. We connected real business scenarios to clear archiving logic, created a structured way to assess relevance and embedded that thinking into our data quality and governance framework.
You’ll see how we aligned IT and business stakeholders, defined ownership and turned cleanup into a scalable, repeatable process rather than a one-off initiative. I’ll also share the challenges of “deleting with confidence”, and how we addressed concerns around risk, compliance and transparency.
By the end you’ll know how to decide what data is truly worth keeping, and how smart archiving can improve performance, sharpen insights, reduce complexity and ultimately make both systems and people work better.

Why Data Governance Initiatives Succeed and Fail

Data governance promises clarity, trust and better decisions – yet many teams struggle to turn that promise into reality. Too often they start with the wrong battles, involve the wrong people or tackle everything except the problems the business actually has.
This session is the talk I wish someone had given me before we started. I’ll share what actually moved the needle: why starting from concrete use cases works better than “let’s cleanse everything”, how reducing your dataset can be a power move, and why investing time and effort in data modelling truly pays off. I’ll also point out the patterns that held us back: endless architecture discussions, lack of IT support, blurry domain boundaries and governance that stopped at the analytics layer while users struggled in operational tools.
You’ll leave with clear guidance on where to focus, what to avoid, and how to get people outside the data team involved, so governance becomes something your organization actively uses and benefits from, not just something you describe on paper.
