The path to Bundle your Databricks projects
With the General Availability of DABS (Databricks Asset Bundle) in April 2024, Databricks announced it as their tool/framework to facilitate the adoption of software engineering best practices, including source control, code review, testing, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), for your Data and AI projects.
But what does this mean? How do you prepare your (current) IaC, CI/CD strategy? And how do you encourage the development teams to adopt it?
Join me in this session where I will touch base on the core components involved when setting up DABS, look inside the tool and its integration with Terraform, and share my experience and good practices to apply DABS using a valuable checklist together with security aspects. Gain a good perspective on how ETL and/or AI developers can transition from development to production mode while using VSCode, Git Integration, and Azure DevOps.
Throughout this session, you will see use case demonstrations to have a better sense of DABS benefits, challenges, and implementation in your daily activities.
How secure is your Azure Databricks? Let's find out
As Databricks becomes more accepted within your organization or when moving from a PoC to a Production Enterprise-ready solution, did you ever wonder if your Azure Databricks workspaces are compliant with security standards? Or is there a single place where you could monitor the security health?
Join me in this session where I will take you through the journey of setting up SAT (Security Analysis Tool), a security monitoring solution that allows you to evaluate, adapt and monitor security aspects across your Account workspaces.
We will look inside the different components involving SAT solution to better understand where and how this is working, data is stored and shared, also add or modify the security checks and most important I believe, to empower your Databricks users with the proper information for them to stay compliant as they build, integrate and expand their Databricks Data & AI solutions.
After this session you will have the confidence and information you need to start securing your Databricks landscape.
