Fabricio Bracht is a software engineer based in Abbotsford, BC. For four years at EXFO he has worked in Rust on network monitoring and active measurement infrastructure (TWAMP, STAMP, clock offset estimation) across Kubernetes and bare metal. He works comfortably across the stack, pairing React, TypeScript, and WebAssembly on the frontend with Rust, Go, and Python on the backend. Independently, he designed MQDB, a distributed reactive database with Raft consensus and QUIC transport, and mqtt5, a complete MQTT v5.0 platform spanning embedded no_std targets to the browser. His paper on MQTT over QUIC is under review at Computer Networks. Before software he earned a PhD and postdoctorate in computational chemistry in Brazil, then retrained at Langara College in Vancouver.
